Based on the Judith Krantz novel of the same name, ABC’s pilot, Scruples, is currently in production and Snuffy is composing the score.

Walden will also be presenting the “Music Composition” award at the College Television Awards Gala on March 31st.

CBS recently announced a small pick-up on “A Gifted Man.”
2012 will see the show’s continuation, along with Snuffy’s music!

In festive news, Keep Your Soul Records has released its first multi-artist album.
“A YouTube Christmas,” which contains a variety of favorite holiday songs, is available NOW on iTunes.

After creating a YouTube account and uploading his own videos, Snuffy is excited to continue recording collaborations with different artists. You can see some of his new work HERE.

So many things going on since I have updated this news section…. Finished the 5 year run of “Friday Night Lights,” scored on a new show with Ray Romano called “Men of a Certain Age,” and scored a short series starring Patrick Swayze  titled “The Beast.”  I also have two new shows coming out in the fall,  “A Gifted Man” on CBS and “Good Christian Belles” on ABC.  I have been working on some indie projects as well. Scored a movie named “In the Key of Eli” for director Phil Scarpaci, a documentary for the new Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) called “Serving Life” about lifers in Angola Prison caring for hospice patients, and I am now working on a new pilot for director Nancy Ogden named “Stetson.”

On another front I have been working with a wonderful young artist named Sara Niemietz for the last year and a half. She is an amazing singer and a wonderful writer who I originally worked with on “Providence” in 2002 when  she was just 9 years old! Been doing a lot of songwriting and development work with her and I suggest you check her out!

I have also formed an indie record company (can we still call them that?)  with a great young writer/artist/producer …Jake Coco. Along with Julien Garros we named the company “Keep Your Soul Records” and are currently working with a super bunch of young artists and releasing songs on YouTube and iTunes. More to come on this!

For the first time, Snuffy and his son, Will, have worked together to score a television show. The new ABC Family series, “Huge,” follows the lives of the teens and staff at a weight-loss camp.

“Friday Night Lights” CD released

“Friday Night Lights Vol. 2” was released May 4. It includes the much-requested “Friday Night Lights Theme,” as well as other featured music from Augustana, Jakob Dylan, Sufjan Stevens, and more.

The acclaimed hit “Friday Night Lights” will return! Snuffy and Bennett Salvay continue compose for yet another season of “Friday Night Lights.”

Snuffy receives BMI Film & Television Award

On May 20, Snuffy was honored to receive a BMI Film & Television Award for his score in the USA series “Men of a Certain Age.”

“Hawthorne” premieres Sunday, June 16
TNT has announced its summer lineup, which includes “Hawthorne.” Tune in to hear Snuffy’s score on the new TNT drama, which will premiere June 16, starring Jada Pinkett Smith as nurse Hawthorne.

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation’s Archive of American Television produces extensive video oral history interviews with television legends of all professions and makes them available free online.

NBC network up-fronts announced

This month, NBC announced a return of both shows for which Snuffy scores for the network, “Friday Night Lights” and “Lipstick Jungle.” In a new business model, DirecTV and NBC have inked a deal to air new episodes of “Friday Night Lights” in the fall on DirecTV’s channel 101. The same episodes will premiere on NBC after the Super Bowl next year. This will mark the third season for “Friday Night Lights” which Snuffy co-composes with Bennett Salvay. “Lipstick Jungle,” based on the best-selling book by Candace Bushnell (Sex and the City), premiered in February.

“In Plain Sight” premieres Sunday, June 8, 10/9c

Listen for Snuffy’s score on “In Plain Sight,” the new USA Network series, when it premieres on June 8. The crime drama stars Mary McCormack as a U.S. Marshal attached to the highly secretive Federal Witness Protection Program.
