Network up-fronts announced

In this month’s network up-fronts, NBC announced a return of the freshman drama “Friday Night Lights.” The critically acclaimed series, based on the book and movie of the same name, will move to Friday nights in the new Fall line-up at 9/8c. “Friday Night Lights” will continue to feature Snuffy’s original main title and score with co-composer Bennett Salvay.
Snuffy will also be composing the Pilot, theme and series music for the new USA series “In Plain Sight” starring Mary McCormack and Lesley Ann Warren that will be airing mid-season.

Pilot season wraps

Snuffy and staff have wrapped another busy pilot season, contributing to the developing “Heartland” (USA), “Lipstick Jungle” (NBC), “Suspect” (ABC), “Reaper” (CW), “Women’s Murder Club” (ABC), and additional work on the ongoing drama series project for internet distribution, “Quarter Life,” with producers Ed Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz.

L.A. Blues Alliance at HOB Sunset Strip

Since the completion of their blues album last year, the Mike Post produced project and band is jamming together once again and calling themselves the “L.A. Blues Alliance.” On April 18, they promoted the upcoming CD release at House of Blues Sunset Strip.

Fall Line-Up

Snuffy is set to work on “Friday Night Lights,” “Kidnapped,” and “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip” (all new shows this fall on NBC), as well as continuing work on “The War At Home” (FOX) picked up for its second season.

Snuffy’s Current Projects

Snuffy has just completed a hefty 2005-06 season, including work on the following shows: “The Book of Daniel,” “Huff,” “Surface,” “The War At Home,” and “The West Wing.”

He has also commenced work on “Kidnapped” and “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip” pilots. Stay tuned for network pick-up announcements!

New Blues Album Project Wraps

Snuffy was thrilled with a recent invitation to play on a special blues album project produced by Mike Post. Featuring Stanley Behrens, Keb’ Mo’, Sonny Landreth, Mike Finnigan, Bob Glaub, John JR Robinson, Amy Keys, and Dave Morgan, the album was recorded live at Post’s Studio 9 in Burbank in the old school jam session fashion, with improvisation and new arrangements of both covers and original songs. “Is that who I think it is?”

Chances are you’ve probably seen the Ameriprise Financial commercial featuring a solo guitarist playing a Hendrix-inspired version of “Happy Birthday.” It debuted on New Year’s and has been in heavy rotation since. Yep, the guitar player is none other than Snuffy Walden!
