Emmy Nomination

The Academy of the Television Arts & Sciences announced on July 13 their Primetime Emmy Award Nominations. Snuffy is honored to be amongst the nominees for Outstanding Main Title Theme Music for “Huff.” “Huff” received a total of seven Emmy nominations in its first season, and this marks Snuffy’s eleventh music nomination. “The West Wing” was again nominated for Outstanding Drama Series amongst other categories. The Creative Arts ceremony will take place on Sunday, September 11, at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

Snuff Wraps Pilot Season ’05

Snuffy has recently completed work on the following pilots: “Book of Daniel,” “Surface,” “Joint Custody,” “My Name Is Earl,” “Old Christine,” “Second Nature,” and “The War at Home.” Stay tuned to hear which shows are picked up and which he will be scoring this fall or mid-season.

BMI Film & Television Awards

On May 18, Snuffy attended the Annual BMI Film & Television Awards, where he received honors for his work on this past season of “The West Wing.”

Snuffy’s Current Projects

Snuffy is currently scoring the new Showtime series, “!HUFF,” which will air in the fall, starring Hank Azaria, Oliver Platt and Blythe Danner. It was announced July 21 that “!HUFF” received a 13-episode second season pick-up four months before its November 7th premiere, making it amongst the quickest for any comedy or dramatic series in TV history.

Snuffy’s Music Honored At Hollywood Bowl

On July 9th at the Hollywood Bowl, John Mauceri conducted the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra for “TV Night at the Bowl.” Included on the program was Snuffy’s eight-minute composition, “The West Wing Suite,” which was originally written for this event in 2001.

Surf’s Up, Dude!

Bet you didn’t know that Emmy Award-winning composer, W.G. Snuffy Walden, is also an avid surfer! He has been spending much of his spare time this summer enjoying surfing with his wife and two boys, ages 12 and 14.

Snuff Wraps Pilot Season ’04

Snuffy has recently completed work on “The DeMarco Affairs,” a David E. Kelley Production (not picked up), as well as “Desperate Housewives” for ABC (picked up, but not doing the series).

Snuffy Receives BMI Film & Television Award

On May 12, Snuffy was the recipient of a BMI Film & Television Award for his work on this past season of “The West Wing.” Snuffy always enjoys getting to visit with fellow composers at this annual event.
